Our role:

Gaston Hospital was asked to develop a pro-active automated patient flow system for the emergency department and ICU. This should enable healthcare providers to respond early to warning signals for mild or severe skepticism and thrombosis.

This is what they use Gaston Hospital for:

Convert a 'paper' workflow into automated questionnaires, so that a practitioner is smoothly guided through a specific treatment protocol, such as a skepticism and thrombosis protocol.
Automatically pre-fill scoring lists based on various patient data. This is user-friendly and not very burdensome for the healthcare professional.
Set up a proactive automated patient flow system. This allows practitioners to respond early to alarm signals, assess risk factors and, if necessary, start treatment or take other actions. This may reduce the chance of complications and death.
